Fundación Activa was born in 2017 as God moved in the hearts of two young Guatemalans wanting to serve God and their country. Their dream is to see Guatemalans being transformed by the love of Jesus through actions of grace and mercy. They knew that if they could improve the standard of living in the rural areas of Guatemala, the door of change would open.
Fundacion Activa is characterized as being an inclusive organization. Our action plan encourages community participation in all projects. We will allow anyone that has a desire to serve, a chance to incorporate their gifts and talents within the three-phase action plan of Fundacion Activa.
We believe that what we teach the younger generation today will have a lasting results in the coming generations. This will have a direct effect on the future leaders of our country.
To transform the standard of living for our Guatemalan neighbors, through the example that Christ showed us.
To model for our neighbors, the intentional love with which God loves us. As we reach out with acts of love and service, we endeavor to improve the standard of living for our Guatemalan neighbors.
Integrity: We will act with truth and transparency in the management of all monetary and human resources provided to the foundation.
Honesty
We back up our words with follow through on all our projects.
Courage
We believe that the impossible is possible
Commitment
We strive to generate an eternal change in our Guatemalan neighbor’s lives
Improve and invest in the community’s educational infrastructure.
We want to create an environment that is safe, healthy, and fun for our children.
We want to repair and improve the educational infrastructure according to the needs that are present within each community.
Improve the basic health for everyone in the community.
If our children do not have their basic needs covered such as: basic health, food, and education they will not be able to grow and develop adequately.
Our goal is to be able to cover the basic needs within in the community.
What are they learning?
We want to supply them the tools required to provide a better education.
We will provide informative workshops for the parents and teachers to help in a comprehensive way that will affect the entire family.
We want to provide spiritual and psychological support and empower them for the future.
In our effort to change the standard of living, we believe that education of the youth will be the key for a better future in our country.
We may not be able to change the past, but if we get the chance to work in the lives of the children, then for sure we will change the future of the communities and then the whole country.
Fundacion Activa will have a focus on working in the schools because:
This is the place where the future of Guatemala is being formed.
This is the place where dreams of the next generations are born.
Because the next generations of leaders in our country are attending elementary schools right now.
Goals:
Short-term goals
Make our dream and vision known so that many others can join in, so we can make a generational change
Identify the communities that we can impact the most.
Medium goals
Develop the action plan to improve the standard of living within the community we have identified.
Long-term goals
Apply our model of work in the schools of the area and make an impact in them.
As we reach out with acts of love and service, we believe that during the storms God is still in control of the ship and He wants to show us his immensurable mercy.
Desperation may come and doubt attack our souls, this is the time when we need a hug from God and the hope and faith for a miracle, there is nothing better to have the church by you side in this situation. We want to deliver those hugs and speak love and hope to the thirsty hearts because we are never alone!
COMING SOON…
Las Canoas is the first village that God called us to serve and share his love. Located in the north of Guatemala, with a population of 190 people. One small school. And many opportunities to help.
There is many opportunities to help, We want to develop an inclusive work style which means we want everyone to feel welcome and be able to serve next to us with their talents and gifts.
Even when you are not expecting something to happen, God had a master plan. He brought us to Las Canoas not just to meet the place also to confirm that every time we let him use us, miracles will happen!
